Grace Hung, LAc is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner from the Bay Area, with experience in pulse diagnosis and treatment of internal diseases, and has a background in Hatha yoga and visual arts.

Ashtanga vinyasa flow yoga with Nadia

This dynamic ashtanga vinyasa flow class, taught by Nadia, is designed to challenge and nourish your body through a sequence of movements using breathwork. The class begins with a series of sun salutations to warm up the body and joints, followed by flowing sequences of standing and seated postures, core strengthening poses, balance poses, inversions, backbends and twists, improving your flexibility and strength.

Students should have prior experience attending yoga classes.

Chair Yoga with Nadia

Chair yoga is an easy, gentle and safe practice. This class teaches many basic yoga poses and breathing techniques to improve mobility and strength. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. This class also helps people with disabilities as well as those with limited movement or flexibility issues. There is no need to be flexible or to have prior yoga experience.

Ecstatic Dance Party with Nadia

In ecstatic dance dance, you don't need to follow specific steps. Just follow the rhythm of the music in your own way and move freely. See the full description for more information.

Findhorn-inspired Meditation

These meditations are based on the non-sectarian, openhearted practices presented at Findhorn Foundation. They include: taking a moment to arrive, attuning, sharing, then meditating for 20 minutes. Please note: Hayfork Cooperative (HC) meetings are held on third Wednesdays each month. On those days, the meditation will be held at 5:30 instead of 6:30pm.

A chair will be provided for you, or you can use blankets and/or a bolster, also available at the studio, to sit on the floor.

Free Pilates Group

Pilates is a physical fitness system that develops strength in the body's core. It improves your mental and physical well-being, increases flexibility, and strengthens muscles.

Pilates Group consists of several enthusiasts who meet to keep in practice, and is free of charge, though donations to support the yoga studio are gratefully accepted.

Hayfork Yoga Luncheon

Soup and salad fundraising luncheon at Hayfork Yoga Center.

The menu is Potato Leek Soup with Croutons, Zucchini and Carrot Ribbons with Almond Pesto, Judy's Bread, and Tea. $10/plate.

New Beginnings with Helen

Helen Stone is teaching a six week course called "New Beginnings" for beginning yoga students. The class starts Monday, April 22 and runs from 4:30 to 6pm. "This will be a basic class that starts with proper breathing and explores body awareness and alignment. It is a relaxed, gentle yoga that anyone can do," Stone says. Classes are $5 for 55+ and $10 for "youngsters." Sign up and pay for all six classes the first class and get one free. For more information, please use the contact form on this site.

Reiki Circle

Sharing the healing hands of Reiki, both givers and receivers welcome. Hosted by community.

Yoga with Nadia

This yoga class, taught by Nadia, is suitable for everyone. Mats, bolsters, blocks, and blankets are provided. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. $5 per class.
